The word sustainable can mean different things to different people. Wascha Studios views having a sustainable environment as having a healthy environment; Healthy for the earth and healthy for individuals. The construction, life, and demolition of buildings have a massive impact on our environment. Similarly, toxic fumes given off by many of the available construction materials today can have a massive impact on our health. Wascha Studios is dedicated to designing a healthy environment that will improve your built and natural surroundings. In addition to our design, the objects that we fabricate also adhere to our beliefs. We purchase renewable energy to run the workshop; the heat from the kilns is reclaimed to heat the studio; all clay and other materials are recycled and reused where possible, and we are very selective about what materials are incorporated into our mixed-media pieces. We have the knowledge and experience to provide you with the information that will help you make healthy decisions.
