Porcelain Light Fixtures
Multiple materials can be used to fabricate a variety of lighting fixtures. Finish options are chosen, and details are finalized through collaboration with local fabricators and clients. Once the shades have been created, they are then sent to a fabricator to create the body of the light and obtain a UL rating. This particular fixture is slip-cast which is well suited to fabricating multiple architectural building components. Glazes can provide a touch of color, and decals could be used if a logo or repeated pattern is desired. This fixture is the inspiration for a much larger fixture currently being fabricated, in which each piece is cast with the rims slightly modified to accentuate a hand made appearance.
