Gilchrist Barbeque
The owner's passion for the work of Charles Rennie Macintosh inspired the design of this barbeque. She wanted her concrete block barbeque to be tiled with hand made earthenware tiles. Full scale drawings, generated in AutoCAD, allowed her to fully understand the proportional relationship between the varying tile sizes, the central rose element, and the overall design. She then reviewed the glaze options, and we worked together to select a color scheme that echoed the hues of the natural surroundings and reflected the color palate of Macintosh's work.
