Ballard Remodel
The clients wanted to do their remodel and addition in two phases: pre-baby and post-baby. They needed a bathroom on the second floor adjacent to their bedrooms, more storage, and the upper floor re-configured in such a way that it could tie into the future addition of a Master Suite. They love their Victorian Style home and it was imperative that the addition look like it belonged to the original structure. As a result, the view from the street will remain unchanged, and the existing roof line will continue straight back to house the addition. Their new Master Suite will contain a gracious bedroom with vaulted ceilings to match the existing bedrooms, a large bathroom and walk-in closet. Currently phase one is complete, and the drawings for phase two are ready to submit for permit as soon as their daughter is old enough to go to day care.
