72ND STREET CAFE

An existing curved bar to be reused in the new design, along with a tight space and budget, provided the catalyst for the design and inventive use of materials. Recycled, sanded and finished, stamped aluminum sheets originally used to create machine parts were installed on the bar walls. Another cost saving but attractive design element used was back-painted glass on the bar top and tables. The aluminum 'Pick Up' shelf was fabricated by Decorative Metal Arts, and the same stamped aluminum and glass elements were installed on the top of the shelf.
